Vita
Hartmut Meister studied electrical engineering with focus on communication technology and medical engineering. He received his PhD from the University of Cologne in 1999 and qualified as assistant professor (“Privatdozent”) in 2004. In 2011 he was appointed associate professor. From 1992 to 2002 he was employed as research assistant at the ENT-University-Hospital in Cologne. Since foundation of the Jean-Uhrmacher-Institute for clinical ENT-research (University of Cologne) in 2002 he is head of the audiological working group. He was Research Interests: speech perception and cognitive abilities, hearing aids, cochlear implants, psychoacoustics, speech audiometry.
